Oh My Daisies!!

How completely freakin' beautiful is this card?!?!? This is my new favorite blog: Me, My Stamps and I. I want to CASE every single project I see on it! But this amazing daisy card really caught my eye, so when I was lucky enough last week to stumble upon an Archiver's (ahhhh!), I bought the Sizzix daisy die to add to my collection! When I started punching them out, I was a little concerned that I wasn't going to like them because they are a little different that the ones in the blog, but once I put them together, I was pleased at the result! And those COLORS!! I used SU! Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo with a little Certainly Celery thrown in for fun. The flower stems and leaves are from SU! Serene Sunflower (retired but not forgotten!) and the Swiss dot paper is from PTI. Hope you'll check out Me, My Stamps and I - you won't be disappointed!!

Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad!!

Oh. My. Strips. Of. Paper!! How awesome is this card by Mary Fish?!?!? I love her blog so much and I couldn't wait to CASE this card I found today!! And what about those new colors? I can't wait to get my hands on Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler! So, I read Mary's post and was directed to Flowerbug's Inkspot's blog and the instructions for making rounded cardstock strips. How fun is that?!? You really do need the white paper guide to get the strips into your punch correctly and easily. I made this card for my parents because they are celebrating their anniversary on June 3 - they've been married more than 50 years!! Isn't that so amazing and wonderful? They are a very special couple!! Have a great week and a relaxing Memorial Day!

Inspired by Stamping a Latte

I really love Jodi Collins' blog, Stampin a Latte - both the name (since I'm a coffee fanatic!) and the beautiful projects she creates. I found this simple card today and couldn't wait to CASE it. I pulled out my coffee stamp set, which I don't use nearly enough, and paired it with my favorite SU! Chocolate Chip and Cool Caribbean. I really like layering ribbons - I don't do it often, but I definitely will again. Thanks for stopping by and have a great Memorial Day weekend!!

Inspired by Stampin' Gal Val

I'm not sure what struck me about this card by Stampin' Gal Val, but it has a layout that I knew I could duplicate, which is always good in my book! Monday came and went and I didn't finish my two weekly cards, but I did get one done! Since I don't have a sewing machine, I had to find another ribbon technique for the card and this ruffly effect looks pretty good to me. Wider stitched ribbon is definitely easier to work with, but thinner ones work fine, too. Thanks for stopping by and stay cool!!

Cheers to You, Bunko Buddy!

I had such a great time at Bunko last Friday night, and not just because I won my $10 back!! We had delicious food, yummy margaritas (virgin strawberry for me!), and hilarious conversation! I love to laugh!! So, when I found a card on a blog that looks like this one, I couldn't wait to make it for Jennifer, our Bunko hostess last week. I could not believe that I was able to stamp all of those drink glasses without a single smudge or smear!! That NEVER happens!! It's a super simple card, but perfect for a quick note. Hope you like!!

An Oldie but a Goodie!!

I don't know what made me think of the classic SU! set, Polka-Dot Posies, but when I dug it out today, I couldn't wait to use it!! First, I consulted SCS and this card immediately caught my eye! I love all the bright colors - that seems to be my theme lately! With summer just around the corner, there will be lots more bright colors in my projects! Let's just hope the mojo holds out!! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Comments, please!

Hey, there, peeps!! Please comment on my cards!! I'm just not feeling the love!!

Inspired by Angie Juda

How precious is this card by Angie Juda?!? I LOVE the bright color scheme and who wouldn't love to get some candy like this?!? Well, my card doesn't have the candy (too hard to mail :D), but I still like the way it turned out. The sentiment stamped over the three colorful circles is my favorite element of this card. Simple and fun! See you soon!!

Staff & Teacher Appreciation Card

With only a day and a half left of school, I was in desperate need of a cute card idea for some of Bailey's teachers & school staff. Isn't this the perfect card?!?!? Sadly, I don't have the small sentiments stamp set from My Favorite Things, so I typed & printed them from my computer, but I really like the way they turned out!! You could use this idea for any occasion and even hand write cute sayings on the petals - wouldn't it make a sweet anniversary card? Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!!

Sweets for the Sweet

My sweet daughter is going to a birthday party tonight and needed an adorable card. Look what I found on Heather Summers' blog? You know how much I love SU's new Sweet Scoops stamp set and it's perfect for all ages, especially a 9-year-old! Hope it doesn't get tossed in the trash! Have a wonderful Friday!! Only 5 more days of school!!

Need a little pick-up?

How completely precious is this card?!? A friend drove me to pick up my car the other day and I wanted to send her a thank you card. I rarely use Loads of Love anymore, although it's a really cute set! So, I dusted it off, consulted SCS for an idea, and Voila! A card is born! Super simple and super cute - my favorite combination!! Have a great evening!!

Inspired by Stampin' Pretty!

When I saw this card on Mary Fish's blog, Stampin' Pretty, I was inspired to make one for my two friends who recently lost loved ones and to whom I'm sending a card every Monday. I rarely make odd-sized cards, but I knew I would never be able to interpret the details correctly on a smaller card. I eye-balled the striped pieces and gently folded the ends to cut the tail. The flower is two five-petal flowers put together with a 3/4-inch circle popped up on a dimensional for the center. Thanks for stopping by and have a great Hump Day!!

Simple Sympathy Card

As I've mentioned before, I've been making a lot of sympathy and thinking of you cards recently. My husband asked me to make a sympathy card for his coworker whose mother passed away last week. I always have a hard time making cards for men because I naturally gravitate toward florals and ribbon. Well, this is a card idea I found on-line that uses both in an understated way that is appropriate for a man. This layout would also be perfect if you're making lots of cards to give as a gift or to send as thank yous (perhaps baby thank yous!!). Happy Tuesday!!

Pick a Petal Revisited

Well, I didn't actually dust off Pick a Petal, but I'm going to after seeing this card!! I was waaaaaaay behind on sending birthday cards and I needed one in a hurry, so I looked through my stash and found this beauty! It is a super simple card - I think I either found this idea on SCS or received one as a swap at a SU! Regional. As you can see, the solid petal from Pick a Petal is the flame on the birthday candles, which are just strips of DSP cut to size. Awesome!! A bit of ribbon here and a few brads there and you have an adorable birthday card! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Is this the cutest card you've ever seen?!? My stamping buddy, Alli, had this card for us to make a few weeks ago and I knew immediately that it would be my mom's Mothers Day card! If you haven't used this newer Embosslit from SU!, you've got to check it out!! It is so adorable! In fact, I've ordered it and can't wait to make more of these cute flower pot cards! I hope you and the moms and daughters and grandmothers and other special women in your life have a blessed Mothers Day!!

Another Sweet Cupcake!!

If you hadn't noticed, I am completely in love with the cupcake from PTI's Baby Button Bits stamp set, so when it came time to make a special birthday card for my stamping buddy, Mary Ann, that's the image I went with!! I found this card on SCS and really liked the layout, although I will make my DSP panels a little smaller next time. I've been digging through my old SU! designer paper and this was always one of my favorite collections. Doesn't it go nicely with that yummylicious cupcake?!?! The button on top and the Stickles add a bit of glam that I really like. Mary Ann is celebrating her BIG birthday in Florida so she won't see my card till she gets back but I sure hope she loves it!! Have a great weekend!!

Another Secret Gift Card Holder!!

I CASEd myself when I made this card! It's the Secret Gift Card Holder I made a few months ago but this time, I used my new favorite Sweet Scoops stamp set. Isn't it gorgeous?!?! I am in love with this stamp set! I made this card for Bailey's teacher's birthday gift - a gift card to Bonefish Grille! YUM! I want Bang Bang Shrimp right now!! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

With Deepest Sympathy

I have been making too many sympathy cards lately, but this one just about tore out my heart. Bailey's 1st grade teacher's 19-year-old daughter passed away on Monday and it's the saddest situation I can imagine. She was a beautiful girl who was talented, smart, accomplished, and in her first year of college. As I understand it, she had a seizure disorder that was thought to be under control. I know most of you don't know the Bilbrey family, please lift them up in prayer as often as you can.
