Last-Minute Teacher Gifts

If you're in need of a few last-minute teacher gifts (and who isn't?!), you don't have to go any farther than your craft room to crank out some beautiful note cards!! I CASEd this design from Dawn McVey's blog, My Favorite Things, and the cards went together very quickly. I made three sets of cards, all the same, but with different sentiments. I love Papertrey's newer stamp set, Scattered Showers. Most of the PTI sets have lots and lots of sentiments in addition to the wonderful image stamps - an excellent combo! I also made this super-cute and easy enclosure cards to go with the note cards. I'm also going to add some delectable Symphony Brownies* to the gifts. I sure would like to receive this gift and I hope the school staff likes them, too! Have a great summer!!!
*Prepare the batter for a 9x13 pan of brownies, pour half into baking pan and layer on 3 large Symphony candy bars, and then pour the rest of the batter to cover the candy bars - bake according to package directions.

Congratulations, Grads!

I made this adorable card at a fellow demonstrator's monthly meeting last month and I just LOVE IT!! But . . . I don't know anyone who is graduating, so if you need a precious card in orange and black, leave a comment on this post with your address and I'll send it to you - first come, first to get the card! Have a great day!!

Apples for the Teacher

I found this adorable project that uses Papertrey Ink's Teacher's Apple stamp set and I couldn't wait to make it for Bailey's teacher. I still had some cute frames squirreled away from a trip to Target's $1 Spot a few months ago and they are the perfect size for this project. I love that this set has apples with different patterns - that definitely makes the project extra-special. I hope she likes it!!

Dressy Dress

Isn't this the cutest idea you've ever seen!! Wouldn't this be the perfect card for a bride or bridesmaids or an after-prom party invitation?!?!? I saw this idea on two blogs, both of which are awesome. The first is I Stamp Do U. Check out this link to see Scalloped Dresses by Lene'e. I found the template on Patty's Stamping Spot and since I just read that she's had more than 2 million blog hits, I'm sure you've all seen her blog before ;o) But if not, check out this link to see her dress cards. See you soon!

Inspired by Atomicbutterfly!

OMGosh!! If you have never looked at Kelly Lunceford's blog, Flutter By Atomicbutterfly, you must check it out right now! Go on . . . I'll wait . . .

................. sounds of the Final Jeopardy countdown song .......................................................

Pretty amazing, huh?!? Well, I absolutely fell in love with her Thank You Berry Much SFYTT card and had to CASE it! It's so fresh and springy and beautiful, just like all of her creations! I really like this layout, too. Very versatile and fun!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!!

Sweet Child of Mine!

I think I have the sweetest child in the world and I am so blessed!! We had a little flower arrangement on the table from our dinner party the other night and Bailey wanted to take some of the flowers to her teacher. So, I gave her a jar I had kept (if you're not keeping your pasta sauce jars, you should start - they are the perfect giveaway flower vase!!) and she picked out the flowers she wanted, arranging them beautifully, I think!! She then made a little tag for the vase and added some chenilles around the neck of the jar for some extra color and voila!! The perfect little bouquet for her sweet teacher. I am so proud of my little girl's kindness and generosity. She's the best!! Have a great day and check back later - I have a whole list of cards I want to make today!!

Flower Power

Wow! I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted anything!! I am so sorry, especially to those of you who follow me regularly (thank you for that!!). No real reason for my absence - just haven't had a lot of crafting mojo lately . . . but I have had a lot of cooking mojo!! I needed a belated birthday card and chose to CASE one that my upline made. I am very much into flowers these days and I love my new Sizzix flower die. It's not quite as cool as the Daisy one, but still great nonetheless! And those corduroy brads - LOVE THEM!!! This is a very simple card and I really like that I can easily use several patterns of paper together. The leaves are stamped using Papertrey Ink's Friends till the End set and the sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages. Thanks so much for stopping by today - I promise to do better about posting!! Have a great weekend!
