PTI SAF 2017: 7th Anniversary Tradition Wool

I absolutely adore the felt cookies that Debbie Olson made for PTI's 7th anniversary challenge: wool!! I didn't have much felt on hand, although I have used PTI's before and it is exceptional - thick, luxurious, and easy to work with. I used felt and PTI Pure Poppy and Green Parakeet cardstock to create this simple Christmas cookie with sprinkles. The Swiss dot paper is vintage PTI bitty dots and the sentiment comes from their Cup of Cheer set. The red ribbon is also from PTI and is so beautiful and cuts perfectly. PTI SAF 2017: 2nd Anniversary Tradition Cotton

Of all the projects presented during PTI's Stamp-A-Faire weekend, Stephanie Gold's little cotton candy cone was my favorite!! I decided to copy it, but I think mine looks more like a pink Olympic torch!! I used Hibiscus Burst ink to color the cotton candy, and I had planned to use sticky strip and glitter to create the stripes when I noticed I already had a piece of gold glitter cardstock that would be so much easier to work with. I added a little gold tassel that I had in my ribbon drawer and a subtle sentiment from Wet Paint III. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Make it Monday #295: Z-Fold Card

When I saw this week's Make it Monday Challenge: Z-Fold Cards, my first thought was "Nope! No way! Not gonna happen!" Then I remembered my sweet mama has a rather BIG birthday coming up tomorrow and I wanted to make her an extra special card! So, here is my z-fold card! I'm sure I don't have an envelope this size but I love the card so much that it doesn't matter!! I used PTI's Paper Clippings: Happy Birthday stamp set and dies, and the colors I used are PTI Harvest Gold, Blueberry Sky, & Spring Rain; Tim Holtz Faded Jeans; and SU! Daffodil Delight. Mom and I both love yellow, blue, and white, so I had several coordinating pieces of designer paper that worked perfectly with the die cuts. I can't wait to give her her card tomorrow. PTI Create Along with Us: August 2017

I created my card for this month's PTI Create Along with Us early last week and nearly FORGOT TO POST IT!! Wouldn't that have been a tragedy?!? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Lizzie Jones's sunflower cards for this month but especially this one with the aqua gingham background. It's so fresh and beautiful and clean. For my card, I used PTI's Painted Petals and SSS's Gingham Background stamps. The sentiment is one of my favorites from PTI's Iconic Images. Thanks for stopping by tonight and have a great week!
